The GF-14 Base Dolly is equipped with independent, double ended steering providing excellent manoeuvrability in the studio or on location.

Each of the 4 foam filled tires has a dedicated, push-down brake ensuring immediate securing of the base on tailgates or when moving around on set.

Removable levelling jacks are available for use on uneven terrain providing a secure means to level the base. The levelling jacks also allow cranking up of the base to lay track underneath.

The 4x4 track wheels provide smooth tracking shots and an unparalleled, ease of movement under heavy payloads.

Two utensil trays can be attached to the sides of the mounting column providing neat storage of camera and remote head accessories.

The crane arm design and the high grade pan & tilt bearing systems allow for unmatched ease of movement. The extremely rigid arm remains steady at all times.

With the GF-14, all rigging rods are identical and the parallelogram rods are all the same as each other. This results in a logical and easy to understand assembly.
All rod supports are integrated parts of the respective extension arms further reducing the number of loose parts involved.

A 1m (3′4") extension arm is available to provide extra set up variations at the front of the crane and a 0,5m (1′8") section allows the weight bucket end to be extended, enabling use of the crane with less than normal counterweight and also guaranteeing that the weight bucket always rests on the ground at maximum height.

All GF-14 parts are treated with a patented, surface hardening process (Hart Coat ®) resulting in a scratch proof and non-flake finish. This process increases the equipments durability and lifespan giving it that "new look" even after intensive use on set. Thrashed looking gear and touch up paint jobs are things of the past.

The modular, 2-part counterweight bucket system is lightweight and can be split for use where less than 80% of the total counterweight is required. The lower section has a high and low mounting position.

All GF-14 components are designed to allow a comfortable carry and practical transportation.

With it′s low pivot height and comparatively lightweight sections, the GF-14 can be assembled in any version by two operators.
The GF-14′s low pivot height enables transportation in trucks without having to dismount the middle section. The fact that you don′t have to dismantle the pivot section also reduces the set-up time.

The complete system fits neatly and safely on two dedicated trolleys. Specially designed trolleys and carriers are also available for the counterweights.
